Whistler’s Sliding Centre is scheduled to be the site of the world luge championships in 2025.

After a brief break for New Year's Day, the Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) is back to regularly scheduled programming.

The Canadian national luge team, including Sea to Sky denizens Embyr-Lee Susko, Trinity Ellis and Caitlin Nash, will be training through Friday. Meanwhile, BC Development skeleton athletes are honing their skills until Sunday.

If you've ever wanted to try piloting your own bobsleigh, Saturday is your chance to do so. The new Discover Bobsleigh Driving Experience offers guests two runs: one as a pilot and one in the backseat as a brakeman.

Next on Sunday, a Discover Luge session will be held for youth aged 8 and up who wish to try out the fastest Olympic sliding sport. This two-hour activity will involve a safety orientation, introduction to equipment and coaching for kids and their parents (space permitting).

Regular passenger bobsleigh sessions are available daily. Visit the WSC website for more information.
