The grown-ups had their moment in the spotlight earlier this month, and now it's time for a number of local junior freeriders to collect hardware in Whistler.

Carden Tomic won gold in the U19 ski men's division of the IFSA Junior 3* this weekend (64.73), and his Whistler Freeride Club (WFC) peer Carter Durlacher netted bronze (63.77). Sandwiched between them with silver was Wyatt Atkins from Whitewater Freeride Team (64.60).

Not to be outdone, Carden's sister Indy Tomic (67.94) led a WFC sweep of the U15 ski girls' podium alongside second-placer Lina Palethorpe (64.30) and Arleigh Kemp in third (63.67).

Christopher Bajada (66.83) and John Suda (66.80) took silver and bronze respectively in the U15 boys' event behind Aspen Valley's Ryder Sinclair (67.57).

In U15 boys' snowboarding, it was Xavier Lamoureux of the Whistler Valley Snowboard Club on top (61.50) by a sizable margin over his teammate Kai Hendry (53.36) and Aidan Anderson, who represents Palisades Freeride (47.87).
