Whistler locals and residents can enjoy free admission to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) this National Indigenous Peoples Day on Friday, June 21.
Throughout the day, visitors can experience immersive cultural programming including an artists' market, weaving demonstrations, storytelling, a speaker series, a fashion show, a comedy show, and family craft activities.
"Throughout Canada, the day brings a time to recognize and celebrate the unique and diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre is proud to be the heard of authentic connections to the originally peoples of the shared territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl in Whistler," reads the SLCC's website.
