The Whistler Children's Festival (WCF) is on its way back for year 42, and a few new wrinkles are in store.
Look forward to a Festival Street Party on May 16 to launch the weekend. The Maury Young Arts Centre will be hosting music, face painting, bubbles, sidewalk chalk art and more.
Following multiple sellouts in 2024, organizers have expanded theatrical programming. A pair of new 10 a.m. showtimes will give families more chances to enjoy an on-stage entertainment lineup that includes Science World, the Myrtle Sisters and the Rising Circus.
And for the first time, Florence Petersen Park will turn into a lively festival zone to complement returning event hotspots at the Audain Art Museum, Whistler Museum, Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre, Maury Young and Whistler Public Library.
More details, including the full schedule of free activities around town, will be released in early May. The full WCF runs from May 16 to 18.
