Whistlerites in motion: Whistler Freeride Club athletes soar to excellent season

Carden Tomic, Lukas Bennett, Drea Dimma, and Kane Gascoigne each made the top six in North American rankings

Welcome back to your recap of Sea to Sky athletes and their exploits at home and abroad. 

The Whistler Freeride Club (WFC) just came off a standout season, with nine athletes ranked top-15 in the IFSA's North American standings across different age groups. Lukas Bennett, Drea Dimma, Carden Tomic, Kieren Ferguson and Kane Gascoigne led the way.

Pemberton's youth soccer community looks forward to a jamboree and coaching clinic this weekend.

Whistler snowboarders Chris Rasman and Mikey Ciccarelli made the final of the prestigious Natural Selection Tour.

Local mountain bikers Tegan Cruz and Wei Tien Ho finished first and second at the Pemberton Enduro.

Speaking of enduro, Jesse Melamed struck bronze in Australia.

Gracey Hemstreet of Sechelt won a French downhill test event.

Princeton-bound Whistler hockey player Kai Daniells saw his junior career end with a second-round playoff loss.
