100 centimetres of snow has rapidly transformed Whistler Olympic Park (WOP) into a winter wonderland of sorts, giving cross-country skiers as much reason to celebrate as their downhill peers.
The accumulation arrived at a good time, with WOP adopting extended hours for the rest of the season. Guests of all ages and skill levels can enjoy Callaghan Valley's trails from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.
Discounted trail tickets, rentals and ski lessons are now available online.
Upcoming events include the Whistler Nordic Club's first Toonie Race of the year on Jan. 18, the next Teck Coast Cup on Jan. 20, and World Snow Day on Jan. 21.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit WOP's conditions page for up-to-the-minute information on park operations and available services.
