Whistler Mountain is officially closed for skiing, but the Axemen are still in a playoff hunt.

On April 26, the Squamish-based 2nd XV roster is scheduled to face Langley RFC. The winner of this pivotal match advances to the Division 3 Grand Final.

U16 and U12 players are invited to a local Youth Rugby Jamboree one day later, set to feature teams from across the Lower Mainland. U14 an U16 squads are deep into spring training with regional games to look forward to in coming weeks.

Back in December, the Axemen U18s accomplished the improbable: an unbeaten first season and a BC Rugby U18 Gold Division Championship over Bayside Sharks RFC.

"As the 2024 senior rugby season approaches its conclusion, the Axemen Rugby Club is proud to reflect on another successful year of growth and achievement across all levels of the game," said team representative Neil Irwin in a press release. "The Axemen welcome new players, supporters, and volunteers of all ages and experience levels.
