Alison Sydor, one of Canadas preeminent mountain bikers, tucked another feather in her cap with a first in her division at the 24 Hours of Moab mountain bike race in Utah on Oct. 13 and 14.
She was racing as part of the Trek/Volkswagen team in the co-ed pro/am division, along with Travis Brown, Chris Eatough and Susan Haywood.
Her team completed a total of 22 laps of the course, which was approximately 20 km in length. Five of those laps belonged to Sydor, a four-time world champion in cross country.
Trek/Volkswagen also managed to finish second overall, even though they were stacked agains mens expert teams.
More than 1,400 riders participated in the event.
