SVC Whistler, a local U18 girls' volleyball team, has it's sights set on Volleyball Canada’s Youth Nationals this May in Edmonton, Alta., but they could need a bit of help along the way.
A GoFundMe page set up by Kevin Arnold on SVC Whistler's behalf elaborates: "This tournament is about more than just competition - it’s about empowering young women in sports, building confidence, and proving what we can achieve through dedication and teamwork. However, we can’t do this without your help!
"We would greatly appreciate any donations to help cover entrance fees, travel costs, food, and hotel expenses so our team doesn’t miss out on this unforgettable experience. Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to representing our community on a national level."
With a number of athletes graduating this summer, the upcoming tournament represents a rare opportunity that program members have worked towards for years.
