Jamey-Lyn Horth Wessels is slated to return to action early next month in a flyweight bout with Croatian Ivana Petrovic at UFC Fight Night: Moreno vs. Albazi.
Horth Wessels (6-1-0) took the first loss of her pro MMA career last December, a split decision setback against UFC veteran Veronica Hardy (9-4-1). The Squamish-based athlete has finished five of her six victories to date, with three technical knockouts (TKOs) and two submissions.
In an interview with The Squamish Chief, Horth Wessels explained that she plans to be "a lot more aggressive" in the octagon against Petrovic (7-1-0) than she was against Hardy.
Look for Horth Wessels to open the prelims on Nov. 2 when the UFC returns to Edmonton, Alta. Former two-time men's flyweight champ Brandon Moreno (21-8-0) will headline against No. 3 contender Amir Albazi (17-1-0).
