India Sherret stood on top of a World Cup ski cross podium for the second time ever on Friday, winning every heat including the big final.
Marielle Thompson backed up yesterday's victory with bronze for her tenth career medal in Val Thorens, France.
Sandwiched between the Canadians was Daniela Maier in the runner-up spot. All three medallists adjusted well to a truncated course, launching from a lower start position due to high winds.
"Super stoked to get the win today, and great to share the podium with Marielle," Sherret told reporters after the event. "I’ve been chasing Marielle for a long time so it’s special to be on the podium with her. In the finals I tried to get a good pull out of the start and then just hold off these great racers.
"This is such a nice course, it was disappointing to have to race on the shorter course today but it worked out okay. It may not have been my best work but I held it together and really happy with the result."
Then there was Kevin Drury, who mirrored his third-place finish from Thursday. Swiss contender Alex Fiva prevailed, and Adam Kappacher of Austria earned silver.
Drury paced Team Canada's men with his 15th World Cup podium appearance and first back-to-back medal streak since 2020.
Canadian ski cross racers will next see action Dec. 17 in Arosa, Switzerland. Full results from Val Thorens are viewable here.
