Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton have contributed their fair share of personnel to Cycling Canada's UCI World Championship roster.

Finn Iles is locked and loaded in anticipation of what he hopes will be his first triumph of the season. He'll be joined by two-time Canadian Open DH king Jakob Jewett and Kasper Woolley, who are likewise hungry for gold on the global stage.

Gracey Hemstreet and Sophi Lawrence have made the cut among elite female downhillers.

Local junior men to watch out for include Dane Jewett, Ryan Griffith, Dylan Marino, Jack Macleod and Griffin Tulk. Megan Bedard and Rebecca Beaton will carry the torch for the junior ladies.

While the Canadian cross-country roster is made up largely of athletes from Quebec and Ontario, U23 Squamolians Marin Lowe and Ella MacPhee have earned a chance to represent the Maple Leaf on the biggest stage of their careers.

The imminent World Championships take place from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 in Pal Arinsal, Andorra. View Team Canada in its entirety here.
