A brand-new Boneyard course at the base of Whistler Mountain will welcome some of Earth's best mountain bikers on Friday for the Crankworx Whistler Speed and Style. Audiences will be treated to a melting pot of disciplines and strengths, as this crowd-pleasing event sets the stage for the world’s top slopestyle athletes, World Cup racers and Crankworx all-stars to see who can mix their skills en route to more hardware.
Jordy Scott has already proved that her shoulder and the rest of her abilities are back to 100 per cent. Now, fresh off a bronze medal in the Ultimate Pump Track Challenge, she looks to defend her 2022 Speed and Style title from the likes of Caroline Buchanan, Robin Goomes and Harriet Burbidge-Smith. Buchanan has already locked up a second consecutive stint as Queen of Crankworx, but nonetheless seeks redemption after a crash took her out during last year's Speed and Style in Whistler. Meanwhile, relative newcomers Patricia Druwen and Alma Wiggberg will try to upset the veterans.
On the elite men's side, Garret Mechem, Edgar Briole, David Lieb and Kaos Seagrave are just four of many contenders looking to dethrone Tomas Lemoine, the French Speed and Style maestro who intends to add a second straight win in this event to his resume.
