Whistler RCMP seeks witnesses in theft and mischief

'The items stolen and damaged during this incident were used for children’s recreational summer camps'

The Whistler RCMP is hoping to speak with anyone who might have witnessed a case of theft and mischief near Whistler Village late last month.

According to a release, the incident occurred on Northlands Boulevard, just north of the Valley Trail which runs parallel to Lorimer Road, between the late afternoon of July 28 and the morning of July 29.

“We are asking anyone who may have video surveillance or who noticed anything suspicious in this area between July 28, after approximately 5:30 p.m., and July 29, before approximately 10 a.m., to contact our detachment,” said Cst. Katrina Boehmer of the Sea to Sky Whistler RCMP, in the release. “The items stolen and damaged during this incident were used for children’s recreational summer camps, and we would like to see the individual(s) who committed these irresponsible acts held accountable.”
