The Whistler Public Library is a hub of activity for kids and families alike—now it needs your help as it plans to revitalize.
A silent auction is on now until April 12, with the goal of raising $10,000 to support kids' programming.
"As we look to the future, we are excited to embark on a transformative journey to update our Children’s area and create a dedicated space where teens can truly be themselves. This reinvigoration will include replacing outdated furniture, designing sensory-friendly spaces, and fostering a welcoming environment that serves all needs within our community," reads a release.
"Funds raised will go towards procuring new furniture for children’s programming in the coming years. The existing upholstered blocks have suffered considerable wear and tear, making them difficult to store and move. In addition, funds will also help refresh the Children’s area, with a renewed focus on play and sensory-friendly spaces and activities."
Launched April 5, the fundraiser had already pulled in more than $2,000 by April 6.
