A Pemberton family is asking locals to keep an eye out for “Bear,” a key member of their household. Bear was last seen near One Mile Lake, where he joined the Hayes family for a stroll. Four year-old Tully “Squishy” Hayes and Bear have been an inseparable duo since they first met. They have had many adventures together, and Tully feels completely lost without her buddy.
Claire Hayes, Tully’s mom, told Pique that Bear first came into their home when she was pregnant with their eldest child. “Bear was actually bought my husband,” she said. “When Tully was around one, she decided that Bear was hers, and she’s never let go of him since. He’s come on countless camping trips, hiking missions, bike rides. You name it and Bear’s been there. She’s definitely missing her adventure buddy.”
Claire is urging the people of Pemberton to keep their eyes peeled for this very special teddy.
“I’m so heartbroken for her,” she said. “He literally has been everywhere with her for the past three years.”
Bear is usually seen wearing his favourite light blue dungarees with white spots. His white ears and snout make him easy to spot. Anyone with information about Bear’s whereabouts should email Claire at [email protected].
