The main act at Feb. 16's Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler Closing Ceremony will be none other than Jelly Roll.
Known also as Jason Bradley DeFord, the Antioch, Tenn. native is a Grammy-nominated country singer, rapper and songwriter who overcame a troubled past (including multiple arrests) to build a successful music career.
A promotional video featuring Jelly Roll and Prince Harry, Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, can be viewed here. Prince Harry visited Whistler late last year ahead of the Games themselves, which are slated for Feb. 8 to 16. Multiple local venues, including the Whistler Sliding Centre and Whistler Olympic Park, will host various sporting events.
The full roster of Closing Ceremony acts will be unveiled tomorrow on the Invictus Games website.
