If you’re looking for some creative activity while waiting for the snow to fall, check out the Point Artist-Run Centre's (PARC) lineup of Fall Artist Sessions.
Dani Saulus from Whistler Sewing Creations is putting on three events on Oct. 20, Nov. 17 and Dec. 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at which guests can tackle a variety of fun hands-on projects.
Paint & Sip is catered to people of all artistic abilities, beginners included. The workshops take place on Oct. 20, Nov. 10 and Nov. 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are hosted by Cassie Dickinson. Show up to paint Whistler's majestic landscapes over a glass of fine wine.
Individuals looking for a more thorough painting experience can sign up for Lacey Jane Wilburn's Introduction to Oil and Acrylic Painting. This four-week course will present the fundamentals of utilizing oil and acrylic to make art, in which participants will end up with a finished painting of their own. Classes are scheduled for Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Last but not least, return to the PARC on Nov. 10 for a Community Jazz and Blues Jam. Brett Florio and a roster of musicians to be announced later will facilitate an afternoon of family-friendly musical fun from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
