Come and explore Capilano University’s Squamish campus on Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an interactive open house. Whether you’re a future student, a parent or a curious local, this is your chance to tour the campus, connect with faculty and students and explore new programs launching in the summer and fall of 2025.

Campus tour highlights

Participants in the Explore CapU Squamish Open House will have the opportunity to view classrooms and student housing options, visit the dining hall and recreation facilities and learn what makes the university so special.

“CapU Squamish offers an inspiring learning environment with modern facilities in a world-class setting, along with meaningful work-integrated learning opportunities,” says Brian Storey, associate vice president of CapU Squamish.

“I’ve been particularly inspired by the strong appetite among the community to have us here. There are small businesses, non-profits, the district itself – and they are keen to have CapU students and faculty involved in their initiatives. That is exciting and it brings a great deal of possibilities.”

Program offerings

Capilano University welcomed its first cohort of students to the Squamish campus in September 2024, offering courses in arts, interdisciplinary studies, early childhood education and academic upgrading.

Campus offerings continue to grow. This summer, the university is launching short, intensive courses in responsible tourism management, coding and environmental field studies. This fall, programs in environmental studies, business, kinesiology, education assistance and tourism management will be added.

“Our programs offer students an opportunity to obtain a certificate or diploma and enter the workplace or carry on to complete their degree,” says Storey. “We have designed them, in part, to help address the Sea to Sky region’s workforce demands.”

To add to the excitement, open house visitors have the chance to win amazing prizes like Apple AirPods.

Can’t make it in person? The university also offers monthly online info sessions, with the next session on March 13.

RSVP for the open house or visit CapU Squamish to learn more about program offerings.
