Two people were injured and taken to hospital following a single-vehicle collision on the evening of Oct. 20, around Lions Bay on Highway 99, police say.
Squamish RCMP Sgt. Sascha Banks told The Chief that of the two people involved, one was airlifted to hospital and the other was transported by ground ambulance.
BC Emergency Health Services spokesperson Shannon Miller said the person who was airlifted is in critical condition.
Miller told The Chief they received the call about the crash at 5:44 p.m. last night.
The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been called in to examine the collision, and an investigation is ongoing, Banks said.
Earlier on Oct. 20, Banks told The Chief that a vehicle rollover occurred at Strachan Point Road and Highway 99.
Northbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours, slowing evening traffic.
