Drama struck Spring Creek Community School recently when a teddy bear brought for show-and-tell went missing during recess.
In short order, the entire school was on the case.
“A search ensued over the next few days with posters and a reward: 20 cupcakes and 10 cookies, according to my son Jack, who ended up being the lucky recipient of the prize… although aged seven he is not known for his numerical accuracy,” says Spring Creek parent Sarah Kennea.
According to Sarah, Jack discovered the bear under a suspicious snow pile and reunited it with its owner—“ironically his Dad was a detective back in the U.K.,” she says.
“Bear and owner were happily reunited [on March 2] after the efforts of the whole school. I love the ethos at Spring Creek and how the kids all look after each other.”
Sometimes it helps to have good friends—especially when their parents are detectives.
