Rotary clubs of Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton are raising funds for a children’s home in Mexico.
On Saturday, April 2, the clubs will host an online dinner party over Zoom from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
For $50, attendees get a vegetarian meal and dessert for two, with Marika Richoz offering cooking tips.
“This is very exciting for all four clubs to work together to raise funds jointly,” said Liz Scroggins, assistant governor for the Rotary’s Sea to Sky area, in an email. “All funds will go to our efforts to equip a kitchen and laundry for a soon-to-be-built children’s home in the Baja (near Los Barriles).”
The clubs are collaborating with charity leaders2give on the project.
A silent auction is also running alongside the dinner party event from March 12 to April 25—find more info here.
