Federal election polls are open today in Whistler until 7 p.m.

It’s election day in Canada, and polls are now open in Whistler until 7 p.m.

Voters can cast a ballot at the Whistler Conference Centre at 4010 Whistler Way or the Whistler Athletes’ Centre at 1080 Legacy Way in Cheakamus Crossing, depending on where they live—if you’re unsure where to vote, check your voter information card, call 1-800-463-6868, or head to elections.ca.

Voters are asked to bring their voter information cards, along with accepted ID, to make the voting process easier.

Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 is not required, but voters must wear a mask.

Voters are also asked to bring their own pen or pencil to mark their ballot, though single-use pencils will also be available.

On the ballot in the Sea to Sky are incumbent Patrick Weiler (Liberals); former MP John Weston (Conservative); Avi Lewis (NDP), Mike Simpson (Green Party); Doug Bebb (PPC), Gordon Jeffrey (Rhino Party) and independents Terry Grimwood and Chris MacGregor.
