Zero Ceiling invites locals to the upcoming All Aboard Skate Jam and Fundraiser: an afternoon full of food, music, community spirit and of course, skateboarding.

Skaters of all ages and skill levels are welcome from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 7 at the Whistler Skate Park. Instructors will helm a beginner-friendly zone, competitions are open to the public and hot dogs donated by Zog’s will keep everyone fed. DJ BUSEREREKE and DJ PRAIZ will bring the music as Mikey Barton hosts.

“Zero Ceiling’s mission is to create a sense of belonging and a home for young people facing homelessness,” said Lizi McLoughlin, the nonprofit's Co-Executive Director, in a press release. “I'm really excited to bring together our community for the All Aboard Skate Jam. Bringing people together to have fun, try new things, and create connections is at the very heart of Zero Ceiling, and that's exactly what this event is all about.”

A full schedule and prize details will be released at the end of July. Registration is free.

“We’re excited to see the community come together and support this incredible event! We're also looking forward to making connections and sharing our story,” added development manager Emily Suckling in a release. “It’s going to be a day filled with good times and community spirit.”
