The Whistler Sliding Centre’s summer bobsleigh activity is returning for another year on Friday, June 30. These exciting jaunts down the world's fastest track will be offered until September 3 in wheeled versions of Olympic-style bobsleds.

No experience is required, as sleds will be driven by trained pilots.

Sessions begin at 10 a.m. every day, with check-in options every 20 minutes. The cost is $119 per adult, while youth between the ages of 12 and 18 can go for free if they are with an accompanying adult. Guests should set aside approximately 90 minutes for the experience, which includes a guided track tour as well as a ride.

Sea to Sky residents can ride for a discounted this Friday. Adult tickets will be just $39 on Locals Day, with proof of Whistler, Squamish or Pemberton ID. Pre-booking is required. More information is available online or via phone at 604-964-0040.

Moreover, free venue access for self-guided sightseeing will be available daily from June 30 to September 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sightseeing visitors can pick up a track map at the Guest Services building and explore the Olympic legacy venue by taking a stroller and wheelchair-friendly interpretive walking tour through the facility's public areas. Washrooms, retail items and refreshments are available at Guest Services.

The Whistler Sliding Centre is a non-profit organization. All proceeds from public activities go towards growing the sliding sports, and help develop the next generation of luge, skeleton and bobsleigh athletes at the place where Jon Montgomery raced to Olympic skeleton gold in 2010.
