Bernard Wei was the most decorated Whistler Seawolves athlete at his recent local meet in Meadow Park Sports Centre.

On Saturday, May 25, Wei prevailed in the boys 15+ 50-metre backstroke and finished second in 50m butterfly. A day later, he accumulated four more medals: gold in 100m backstroke, silver in 50m free and bronze in both 200m individual medley and 100m butterfly.

Jack Hally was a star in the boys' age 11-12 division. He secured runner-up position in 200m IM, 100m free and 200m free to go with third in 50m free.

Youngsters Rhett Yeung and Orson Graebling made their presence felt, going one-two in the boys U10 50m backstroke. Yeung proceeded to win his 200m breaststroke race while coming second in 200m IM as well as 100m breaststroke.

Graebling, meanwhile, had a nice Sunday as the runner-up in 100m backstroke and third-place swimmer in 50m free.

Three girls also reached the podium, led by Olivia Persson's silver medal in the age 13-14 200m free.

In the age 15+ 50m free, it was Grace Dobbin earning bronze.

Julia Cunningham ended up third in the U10 100m butterfly.

Furthermore, the Seawolves were second in the girls 11-12 200m free relay and boys 15+ 200m free relay events.

"Our meet went very well," said meet manager David Higgins. "We had over 240 kids attend from nine clubs across the Lower Mainland. It was a long and successful weekend."
