Canada's top lugers are still trying to find their groove on the World Cup circuit.

Local athlete and reigning national champ Embyr-Lee Susko clocked in at one minute and 51.266 seconds across both runs to finish 17th over the weekend in Winterberg, Germany.

Caitlin Nash found herself in 19th (1:51.885) and Trinity Ellis was 26th as she failed to qualify for the second run.

Julia Taubitz emerged victorious (1:49.582) over runner-up Madeleine Egle (1:49.780) and Emily Sweeney in third (1:49.922). Team USA's Sweeney was the only contender not from Germany or Austria to rank inside the top seven.

Canadian men's singles entrants include Dylan Morse in 25th and 30th-place Theo Downey. Meanwhile, Devin Wardrope and Cole Zajanski were 11th in men's doubles.
