If you've got a free Sunday morning in your calendar, think about going to the Whistler Sliding Centre (WSC) for this year's Canadian Skeleton Championships.

The race is scheduled on March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and will feature the nation's top athletes as well as a bevy of potential-filled up-and-comers.

If a hands-on activity is more your speed, check out the WSC's new bobsled driving experience. Members of the public are now able to pilot their own purpose-built, beginner-friendly sled down the ice at up to 115 kilometres/hour. The offering is billed as suitable for anyone capable of driving a car or a go-kart, and is available March 24, April 1 and April 4.

Conventional passenger bobsled rides are running seven days a week for another three weeks, while limited space in public skeleton remains on March 23, March 30 and April 6.
