A 22-year-old woman from Ontario is dead after a “serious incident” on Whistler Blackcomb on Friday, Feb. 25, the company confirmed in a release.
The woman was transported to the Whistler Health Care Centre “after Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol responded to a skier medical incident on an intermediate trail in Symphony Bowl,” the release said.
After further emergency care and evaluation, the woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
“Whistler Blackcomb, Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol and the entire Vail Resorts family extend our deepest sympathy and support to our guest’s family and friends,” said Whistler Blackcomb COO Geoff Buchheister in the release.
