A black GMC Sierra reportedly stolen from Whistler's Nordic neighbourhood on Aug. 3.

Whistler police are asking the public for help to track down a truck that was reportedly stolen from Nordic last week.

In an emailed statement Friday, Aug. 4, Whistler RCMP said it received a report the day prior of a truck taken from the area of Garibaldi Way. The vehicle is described as a black, lifted 2016 GMC Sierra, with a crack going across the entire windshield and damage to the driver’s side tail light. The licence plate number is listed as KX 8528.

Police said it is believed the truck was stolen sometime around 3 a.m. Aug. 3, when neighbours reportedly heard it start.

Although attending Mounties “did make some neighbourhood [inquiries] for video surveillance/CCTV,” at press time, no suspects have been identified.

Anyone with relevant footage or who may have spotted anything suspicious around that time is asked to contact the RCMP detachment at 604-932-3044.
