Organizers of TEDxWhistler announced that the event is returning to the resort on May 7, 2023.
It was last held in Whistler back in 2021 at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC), featuring a range of speakers, including Chief Kúkwpi7 Gélpcal, the cultural chief of the Lil'wat Nation; Chief Chepximiya Siyam’ Janice George of the Squamish Nation; Whistler Mayor Jack Crompton; Jillian Harris of Jillian Harris Design; gold-medal Olympian and host of The Amazing Race Canada, Jon Montgomery; and Dr. Karin Kausky, co-chair of the Sea to Sky Division of Family Practice, to name just a few.
While TED created the program, it doesn't run TEDx events. Rather, they're organized locally.
Speakers for next year have not yet been announced. The event will once again take place at the SLCC.
"TEDxWhistler 2023 will spark inspiration and cultivate curiosity by bringing together thought leaders, changemakers, innovators, and disruptors to our stage," according to the website. "This is your opportunity to be a part of the growing TED movement by joining us in building a community of partners, speakers, and influencers."
