An 82-year-old Whistler man is dead after ski patrol responded to a ski incident on Ridge Runner, a blue-rated intermediate run in the Crystal zone on Blackcomb Mountain, at around 9:30 a.m. on March 18.

According to witness Geoff Barnett, several vehicles were involved in an accident close to Airport Road in Pemberton—including a Stl'atl'imx Tribal Police truck—that reportedly led to a foot chase and two suspects in handcuffs on March 20.
