A traffic stop led Pemberton police to a “large amount” of drugs last week, according to a release.
At about 7:45 a.m. on July 21, Pemberton RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 99 and Portage Road, and a search subsequent to the arrest led to the seizure of 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, 154 grams of heroin, and 14 grams of fentanyl, police said.
The male driver and female passenger were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and later released on court documents related to trafficking charges, the RCMP said.
