Pemberton will host its annual Canada Day Parade on Monday, July 1 with exciting activities on offer for the entire community. This year’s theme is “Weaving Together the Fabric of Our Community.” Events have been planned to highlight the vibrant and diverse nature of the community.
Locals will compete in the Spud Run earlier that day at 8:30 a.m., racing eight kilometres through the Pemberton Valley. Athletes can register for the event at 8:15 a.m.
After the parade, friends and neighbours can meet up in the Downtown Community Barn from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be free cupcakes and cotton candy, crafts from Lil’wat Nation, a bubble station, lawn games and much more. Local musician Austin Ross will play music for the special occasion.
HWY Café and Town Square will also have food available for purchase on site.
Whistler’s parade is also back this year after a hiatus. Read more at whistler.ca/canadaday.
