Looking to learn more about Pemberton's firefighting service?
The Pemberton & District Public Library has partnered with FireSmart to offer Pemberton’s youngest residents a chance to get to know the Village’s firefighters.
On Thursday, March 13, from 10 to 10:30 a.m., the library is hosting a firefighter story hour. The event will feature stories with a local firefighter, and offer kids the chance to get an up-close look at a fire truck.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for kids and families to explore how wildfires happen,” according to the Library. “You’ll get to learn important safety tips and discover how nature and communities can recover after a wildfire.”
Tickets are free, but attendees are asked to RSVP through the library’s website.
