Hundreds of Whistlerites are currently without power, with BC Hydro confirming two separate outages on its website.
The first outage began at 9:47 p.m. and is currently affecting 158 BC Hydro customers. The outage map notes addresses impacted in the 9200 block of Autumn Drive, the 9300 block of Autumn Place, the 9200, 9400 and 9500 blocks of Emerald Drive, the 9000 and 9100 blocks of Summer Lane, the 9100 block of Summer Place, the 9200 and 9300 blocks of Lakeshore Drive, the 9900 block of Heliport Road, and the 9700 block of Highway 99.
A second outage began at 10:02 p.m., with 137 customers affected. The outage map notes addresses impacted both north and south of Highway 99, and east of Emerald Drive.
No cause for either outage is known at this point, as both are currently under investigation by BC Hydro.
