The fan-favourite Whistler Village Beer Festival returns to the resort this September.

In 2024, the Whistler Village Beer Festival (WVBF) won't be confined to a singular day of action. Instead, partner venues across town will be coordinating to host an entire week of fun and quality beverages.

It all begins with a Sept. 6 teaser at the Cure Lounge’s lively Patio Party Series in Nita Lake Lodge, hosted by Coast Mountain Brewing. Expect great music, tasty bites and prizes.

On Sept. 9, the festivities will officially get started. A day after that, Tapley’s Pub is your go-to spot for Music Bingo (Beer Edition). Meanwhile, four local bartenders will duel at FireRock Lounge in the Malts & Mixology Beer Cocktail competition, with patrons up to vote for their Fan Favourite.

Tapley's will also host a "Let's Get Quizzical" quiz contest on Sept. 11, where those educated about their beer could win tickets to this year's WVBF Main Event. Meanwhile, karaoke with a live band (The Groove Section) is on that same night at Black's Pub.

Come Sept. 12, enjoy a five-course meal paired with award-winning beers at Function Junction's Whistler Brewing (tickets are limited). Those in the main village may also check out the Beacon Pub for drinks courtesy of Parkside, Rewind, Phillips, Backcountry Brewing, and Coast Mountain Brewing and music from DJ Gainz.

The Main Event weekend kicks off Sept. 13 as Coast Mountain Brewing and Four Winds Brewing team up for an apres in Function Junction.

Next, mark your calendars for Sept. 14: the big day. Start your morning with a craft beer brunch at Stonesedge Kitchen before heading over to Whistler Olympic Plaza for the Main Event from noon until 6 p.m. An array of beverages will be on tap, to go with lawn games, live bands and food trucks.

The week concludes later that Saturday with Oktoberfest at the Longhorn Saloon from 5:30 p.m. onward. Visitors can experience a true Bavarian beer hall vibe with a souvenir stein and a BBQ presented by Grimm’s Fine Foods.

Tickets and more details are available here.
