The Whistler Summer Concert Series picks up where it left off on Thursday night with Astrocolor.
Named Instrumental Artist of the Year at the 2022 Western Canadian Music Awards, Astrocolor's jazz and psychedelia-inspired music has over 10 million Spotify streams and national radio play. The band hearkens back to 1990s electronic acts like Air and Massive Attack.
On Friday, Aug. 9, The Suffers roll into town. They're a Texas-based R&B group that also incorporates jazz, disco and contemporary gospel to go with socially conscious lyrics, and dropped their latest album (It Starts With Love) two years ago.
Both performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Olympic Plaza. More information is available here.
