Local cinephiles who are missing the now-defunct Village 8 theatre can head on up to Olympic Plaza this summer for more free movies under the stars.
First in the lineup on July 3 and 6 is Eddie the Eagle, a biographical sports comedy-drama starring Taron Egerton as Michael Edwards: the first British man to represent his country in Olympic ski jumping.
Next up is 500 Days in the Wild: an award-winning documentary about Dianne Whelan's unprecedented journey across land and sea as she tackles the world's longest trail. Catch the true story on July 10 and 13.
Completing the rotation next month are Next Goal Wins (August 7 and 10), Bob Marley: One Love (August 14 and 17) and the Robin Williams classic Mrs. Doubtfire (August 21 and 24).
All showtimes are at 8 p.m. and are subject to cancellation in the event of bad weather.
