Threads of Light exhibit opens Feb. 22 at the Point Artist-Run Centre

Sea to Sky artists like Lacey Jane Wilburn and Cassie Dickinson are featured

This Saturday, the Point Artist-Run Centre (PARC) will host an opening reception for it's new Winter Art Exhibit.

Dubbed Threads of Light, this showcase features a range of Sea to Sky and Vancouver-based artists including Lacey Jane Wilburn, Hugh Kearney, Christina Nick, Bea Gonzalez, Charlie Doyle, Bea Searle, Nina Moore, Cassie Dickinson, Lorine Mason, Jill Gotto, Megan Burke Beckman, Celeste Banning, Loridawn Gordon and Karen McLeod.

A press release reads: "This celebration of winter’s light and renewal embraces the profound beauty of winter and the promise of the sun’s return. As the darkest days give way to brighter horizons, this exhibition reflects the transformative power of light during the colder months—a beacon of hope, warmth, and renewal in the heart of winter.

"Through luminous colours, radiant compositions, and striking contrasts, the showcased works invite viewers to explore the interplay between winter’s quietude and the sun’s gradual reawakening, celebrating the cyclical dance of nature that guides us toward brighter days."

Complimentary appetizers and drinks courtesy of Harrop's Bar will be available at the reception on Feb. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. More details can be viewed here.
