Who: Holly McNarland, with The Pepper Sands & The Dirtmitts
Where: Buffalo Bills
When: Thursday, Dec. 11
Its a menage a trois of musical offerings at Buffalo Bills on Thursday night. Top billing goes to Holly McNarland, a petite performer whose voice packs a whallop. The Vancouver singer-songwriter is back after a five year break to raise a bub. She won a Juno for best new solo artist in 98 and her debut album, Stuff , went platinum.
The gutsy guitarist has completed a whole new set of songs, for her new LP, Home Is Where My Feet Are , something a lot of new recruits in town could relate to.
Supporting are the Pepper Sands, out to impress with a slew of songs from their album, Win Big, Lose More. Think Shirley Manson meets the Foo-Fighters, a meshing they dont seem to mind.
Thirdly, the Dirtmitts offer a cool female singing voice and catchy guitar rhythms.
Tickets are $13 for all three acts. Phone 604-938-2769.
