Isa Guerrero won three awards last weekend at the BC Student Film Festival.
The Whistler Secondary School (WSS) student's work, "La Mort", netted him the prestigious Most Promising Young Filmmaker accolade along with Top Junior Narrative and Top Junior Cinematography.
"I still can’t believe it, to win in the provincial competition!" wrote Guerrero on his Instagram account. "Most Promising Young Filmmaker: that award by itself is a huge honour to me. I'd like to thank the people behind the Film Festival...as well as the [Vancouver Film School] for allowing us to express our creativity on the big screen. I hope this inspires people to make movies, Go! Express your ideas!"
Guerrero also earned top spot at this year's Sea to Sky Students Film Festival. Check out "La Mort" on his YouTube channel.
