Edward Burtynsky's content is on it's way to the Audain Art Museum.
Burtynsky is known for capturing the relationship between nature and human development, and is considered one of Earth's premier contemporary photographers. His work has been featured in prolific exhibitions including at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography
The Torontonian's latest series, The Coast Mountains: Recent Works by Edward Burtynsky, depicts British Columbia's majestic natural environment while highlighting the issue of glacial retreat due to climate change.
“Burtynsky’s highly detailed images are equally awe-inspiring and troubling, with regard to the loss of glacial environments in spectacular settings,” says Dr. Curtis Collins, Director & Chief Curator of the Audain Art Museum, in a press release.
The Coast Mountains will be available for viewing from April 27 to September 15. For more details click here.
