The Whistler Film Festival (WFF) is live.
More than 100 movies are on tap over the course of the next four days, with 62 per cent of that lineup being Canadian content. $188,500 in cash and prizes are also set to be doled out across varying awards and competitions.
This year's festival is taking a particular focus on the soundtrack side of filmmaking with band documentaries like Blue Rodeo: Lost Together, unprecedented First Nations language dubs like Anangong Miigaading (Star Wars: A New Hope) and a Dec. 7 fundraiser starring Randy Bachman Band keyboardist Mick Dalla-Vee and Alice Cooper's partner in crime Andrew Johns.
Furthermore, the WFF Content Summit unites over 1000 industry professionals in a series of seminars and special events.
