A Saskatchewan man entered into a 12-month peace bond on Wednesday not to be at any swimming pool, daycare, day school, or youth centre.
Brent Habetler, who legally changed his name to Sir Brent Adair Habetler, was arrested in March and charged with committing an indecent act in a public place, and willfully obstructing, interrupting or interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property, the community swimming pool, thereby committing mischief. Those charges were withdrawn in Lloydminster, Alta., court on Nov. 15.
In March, Saskatchewan RCMP said that in the interest of public safety, they were advising the residents of the Maidstone RCMP detachment area and surrounding communities of an offender who had been charged with committing an indecent act and the RCMP said that he was at high risk to reoffend.
Back in 2000, Habetler was arrested in Prince George for two counts of indecent exposure, one at a drivethru restaurant and the other at the Elksentre.
Police at the time said they had witnesses who could prove Habetler, who was then 23-years-old, was responsible for the acts. However, one charge was later dropped and Habetler was acquitted of the other.
