For students looking to spend the summer working outdoors and in provincial parks, the BC Parks Student Ranger Program is the perfect opportunity.
Applications are open now until Feb. 21, with 48 positions available across 12 locations. The program gives young adults a chance to work in conservation, community outreach, and recreation in B.C. parks.
"Our spectacular park system provides exceptional recreational opportunities and plays a critical role in preserving ecology, celebrating culture and honouring history," Environment Minister George Heyman said in a news release.
"The meaningful work completed each year by student rangers has a lasting impact on our parks and protected areas, and is an important part of renewing our BC Parks workforce and capacity."
Positions are open to students between the ages of 18 and 30, who were enrolled in full-time post-secondary programs this past year, and are returning to their studies in the fall.
Applications can be found on the BC Parks website.
