Here’s your chance to literally step into the shoes of a celebrity.
A North Vancouver warehouse will be in the spotlight this weekend for a set sale featuring mid-century modern décor, clothes and accessories worn by the actors, and even a time machine from the popular sci-fi series Travelers starring Eric McCormack. The Netflix series is rated 8.1/10 on IMDB.
Designer suits worn by McCormack and his co-stars that normally cost $1,700-$2,000 will be up for grabs for $50-$100. One lucky scavenger will score the actual time machine itself from the show.
“It’s always fun to do a set and decor sale,” stated Jeff “The Liquidator,” from the Canadian and international series of the same name, in a press release. “You get to buy cool things you’ve seen on the show, see the stars’ wardrobes and look into some of the TV characters through their actual sets.”
Shot in Vancouver, Travelers has been approved for a third season. But there’s a plot twist: the creators have revamped the show and are letting go of past sets and wardrobes.
Travelers takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where thousands of special operatives are tasked with preventing the collapse of society. These operatives, known as "travellers,” have their consciousness sent back in time and transferred into the body of present-day individuals who would otherwise be moments from death – to minimize unexpected impact on the timeline.
The set sale runs Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 2218 Front St.
